Vinnie was carrying back one of the giant poinsettias in the greenhouse. They were all gonna live in his room now. He was going to build himself a fortress of massive flowers.]

[Before Vinnie could even make it all the way to his door, a very annoyed Wartortle marched towards him.]

Why won't you tell me what happened?

[Vinnie tried to give Marie a frustrated stare over the giant poinsettia petals in front of his face. When that didn't work, he grunted and turned towards his door, opening it with one of his thin vines.]

[Marie stayed silent for quite a while after being hushed. He could have berated his brother for stubbornly avoiding help- even though he really could have used it. Too timid for that, though, he just mumbled;]

Well... doesn't matter. It is a big deal. [Pause.] Tell me what happened. You're not supposed to be keeping this kinda thing from me...

[Vinnie gave an exasperated sigh, but it was evidence that the guilt trip was working. It was true, he had promised to tell Marie about his problems. But as it was, he couldn't look him in the eye to say it. Busying himself, he inspected the poinsettia's leaves and soil as he spoke.]

I was in the city, shopping an' shit. Ran into Green. Next thing I know, some Hypno's come out of nowhere and puts me t'sleep. Fell and smashed my face on the ground, apparently.

[He hesitated. Tugged anxiously on the gardening gloves he wore.]

Then some psycho fangirl've Green kidnapped us. Tied us up. Y'know.

[Marie wouldn't have noticed that Vinnie wasn't looking directly at him anyway. By the time Vinnie started to explain himself, Marie was looking elsewhere.

His brother's story was alarming but. Confusing.]

Uhhhh... Nnnno, not really.

[What kind of person went around tying people up and kidnapping them in the middle of stores? Why was Vinnie along for the ride? What did the Hypno have to do with anything? Marie kept his questions to himself, though.]
