[Vinnie had been spending a lot of time on his own outside, watching the flower buds peek through the snow. Had he been actively avoiding certain people? Hell yes. But he was privately trying to console himself with the slow return of spring.

It was getting warmer. Greener. All his hopes for the future lay in the coming month.

I wanna get back into training again. At least doing something. I'm sick of waiting around and feeling like this. I've been getting into fights anyway, so... I should've told you about those.

I know I've been pulling stupid shit lately. You can lay it on me for that.

[Oh man. This is just too good. The mysterious voice starts to giggle. it starts out quietly, like it's trying to contain its laughter, but it grows until it is nothing short of cackling.]

[Ghuurngh. Now that the sudden panic was starting to go, he could recognize that voice, that stupid smile, and the same laugh as that video post that graced the network journals after Valentine's day.

Trying to stomp his own shadow was just going to make him look like an idiot, wouldn't it. Wouldn't work either... but damn, it was satisfying to imagine it. Vinnie's expression curdled into a flat look of disgust, still on edge.]

[Oh, but Nyx wants him to try. Her grin grows wider, seeing the look on her face. It was almost refreshing to see someone hate her so much. She'd been on pretty okay terms with people recently, and man, did that ever get boring.]
