There is a lot of effort put forth into finding leaf stones during the day. They're very particular about the ones they use, so the ceremony itself is rather limited in who can participate... Once night falls there is a gathering of all the Weepinbell that are deemed ready... Oh its a beautiful sight to see by moonlight!
